“On the initiative of the prosecutors of the Rivne Regional Prosecutor’s Office, five rocket-propelled anti-tank grenade launchers, as well as more than 4.6 thousand rounds of various calibers were seized during searches as part of criminal proceedings , was transferred to the needs of a military unit of one of the mechanized brigades,” the statement said.
It was noted that last year in the Sarny region, law enforcement officials exposed four members of an organized criminal group that buys “sun” stones, sorts them into fractions and resells them. these at a higher price. During the pre-trial investigation, grenade launchers and cartridges of 5.45 and 7.62 caliber were also confiscated from the two accused, one of whom was an employee of the State Emergency Service of the Rivne region.
This year, the Dubrovitsky District Court convicted all members of the group. Also, according to the court’s decision, more than 260 kg of amber was transferred to state ownership, and weapons and ammunition, at the request of the prosecutor’s office, were transferred to the needs of military personnel of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
