As reported in the 151st training center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Roman completed an internship as an instructor in tactical medicine in Odessa.
Returning home after conducting tactical medicine exercises, he witnessed the first arrival of an Iskander missile and rushed to provide medical assistance to the victims.
The Russian occupiers launched a second strike with a short interval at the same place. He died trying to save the lives of other people, although he had the right to go home to rest. I had the right, but I couldn’t drive past people in need of help. We will not forget and will not forgive the loss of a brave warrior, a professional instructor, a faithful brother, a loving husband of his wife, a father and a faithful son of Ukraine. Forever in service! – the center said in a statement.
