The first sequel to Five Nights at Freddy’s, a film released in 2023, was confirmed by Blumhouse and Universal Pictures
To the delight of fans, it was confirmed last night, the 10th, by Blumhouse and Universal Pictures, that the highly anticipated Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 will be released soon. The news was announced at CinemaCon, an exclusive event to make announcements related to the world of cinema.
According to what was revealed by the producers, the sequel to Five Nights at Freddy’s will be released next year, in 2025. However, until the publication of this article, no further information had been released, not even about the story that will be covered in this new production.
Released in October 2023, Five Nights at Freddy’s stars Josh Hutcherson, where your character is a watchman who tries to survive 5 nights in a haunted pizzeria. The film was directed by Emma Tammi and, the filmmaker is expected to reprise her work in the new film.
It is worth noting that the first film is an adaptation of a series of video games that has the same name and had a budget of US$20 million, grossing more than US$290 million at the global box office, becoming a success, due to the its modest budget. In Brazil, it is available for purchase and rent on the country’s main streaming platforms.
