“Novinarnya” talks about this on April 10.
The active phase of the military operation on Russian territory, which was started on March 12 by Russian volunteers fighting on the side of Ukraine (Russian Volunteer Corps, Russian Freedom Legion and Siberian Battalion), has ended.
As Novinarnya writes, one of the participants in the new raid was Vladislav Izmailov, a militant of the Wagner PIC, captured near Bakhmut, who boarded a bus during the exchange of prisoners on June 11, 2023, refused to return to Russia and made the decision to fight. on the side of good.”
Now he acted as the commander of the first assault group of pro-Ukrainian forces in the border village of Kozinka, Grayvoronsky district, Belgorod region of Russia.
The details and results of the RDC operation on Russian territory and plans for the next raids were discussed in exclusive interviews with Novinarnye by direct participants – the commander of the assault group “White” Vladislav Izmailov and the commander of the armored group Pavel Kuznetsov “Mogila”. They also presented exclusive videos of their combat work.
Our task was to go to Kozinka and maintain the village. They failed to repel all the sectors taken from the Russian side. Not a single home, says White “New.” The Russian authorities must use aviation, however, this did not help them oust the pro-Ukrainian forces from Kozinka.
Background
On March 12, the Freedom of Russia Legion, the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Siberian Battalion announced a joint operation in the Belgorod and Kursk regions of Russia. Its “hot phase” has already come to an end – on April 7, the RDK command officially announced this.
And although our DRG groups and sleeper cells remain in the region, it is time to honor the memory of our fallen soldiers,” RDK representatives wrote in their telegram channel, reporting that they lost four of their brothers during the operation. During the next raid in the Russian Federation, Russian volunteers fighting on the side of Ukraine attacked the FSB building in Belgorod and declared that they controlled the village of Tetkino in the Kursk region (having destroyed ammunition depots there).
In the village of Gorkovskaya, Belgorod Region, fighters of the Siberian Battalion, together with volunteers from the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, seized the local administration building. In the village of Kozinka (Belgorod region), which was controlled by RDK fighters, perhaps the heaviest battles were fought: the Russian government should actively use aviation, but this did not help it oust the pro-Ukrainian forces.
According to statements by Russian volunteers, during the operation in the Kursk and Belgorod regions, the Russian army lost more than 1.5 thousand people killed and wounded. More than 120 units of enemy equipment were destroyed, including helicopters. Several dozen of Putin’s military personnel were captured.
However, this operation has many critics, and they have comments regarding the success and effectiveness of the spring raid 2024. And the assumption about the significant role of IPSO in its coverage. As the participants in the operation themselves say, the main goal was different: the Russian authorities were forced to react to this attack and withdraw their combat units from the front in Donbass.
