The Russians are losing limited ground due to continued Ukrainian attacks, analysts said.
Ukrainian troops launched counterattacks against Russian invaders near the town of Kremennaya in the Lugansk region. This is stated in a report from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), released yesterday.
Analysts point out that the Russians have recently advanced south of Kremennaya. According to the geolocation video for April 8, the enemy achieved local victories in the area of chalk quarries south of Belogorovka.
Also on April 9, a Russian blogger reported that the Russians were fighting for the tactical heights in the quarry area. It was noted that they had secured limited positions in this section of the front. The Institute for the Study of War confirms this data, citing geolocated videos.
However, Russian sources also reported heavy fighting in the Ternov area, west of Kremennaya.
“Russian troops are losing limited positions due to continuous Ukrainian attacks,” ISW said.

Let’s recall that a few days ago, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Syrsky, said that the Ukrainian troops had some tactical successes in the directions of Kupyansky and Limansky.
It was also reported that since the beginning of the war, the total losses of Russia exceeded 450 thousand dead and wounded.
