The Russian army lost this ship-based multifunctional helicopter. The military does not disclose the details of the destruction of the enemy combat unit. Press Secretary of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmitry Pletenchuk reported this on Facebook.

The Ka-27 helicopter is designed to detect, track and destroy submarines. The helicopter can perform tactical missions either individually or as part of a group. The helicopter can operate both from a coastal airfield and from a ship. The cost of such a helicopter is 1.5 million dollars.

The Russian navy is now using these helicopters to search for Ukrainian naval drones and landing craft. Ka-27s are based at the airfield in Kutch.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on April 10 that Russia had already lost 325 helicopters, as well as 347 aircraft and 9,70 drones since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

In the Russian Federation, such losses are traditionally not reported.

Let us remind you that in February, a Russian Ka-52 Alligator attack helicopter along with its crew was destroyed in a fight of the Defense Forces in the Avdeevsky direction.
