Most of all, residents of the aggressor country are worried about rising prices, war and Western sanctions, as well as threats of terrorist attacks.
Russians complain a lot about inflation. More than half of Russian residents surveyed consider this problem the most serious. This is confirmed by the results of a study by the Levada Center, published on Tuesday, April 9.
Thus, 54% of respondents named inflation in response to the question of which of the problems of society they consider the most serious, and which worries them the most.
In second place (32%) is war, conflict with the West and sanctions, in third (29%) is the threat of explosions or terrorist attacks (you can choose several answers).
Inflation is almost always ahead. The last time it wasn’t a big problem was 20 years ago: in 2004, it was briefly overtaken by “poverty, the poverty of the majority of the population.” After the start of the war, other economic problems (poverty, unemployment, crisis, etc.) disappeared into the background and concerns from 9% to 18% of respondents.
Even the terrorist attack on Crocus City Hall that occurred during the survey (it was conducted March 21–27) did not dislodge inflation from the first place. This has only increased the share of so-called threats of terrorist attacks. The Crocus tragedy occurred on the night of March 22, and in the first two days of the survey, March 21-22, 14% of respondents said they were concerned about the threat of terrorist attacks, and in the following day it rose to 32%. After the terrorist attack, the share of those mentioned in the threats “influx of visitors, migrants” and “growth of nationalism, deterioration of inter-ethnic relations” also increased (from 19 to 25% and from 6 to 10%, respectively). The share of those who indicated inflation remained almost unchanged, falling from 56% before the terrorist attack to 54% after it.
Russians also named rising prices, tariffs and exchange rates as the main event of the past year.
It was previously reported that 60% of Russians said they were facing a collapse of the housing system and community services.
In Orsk they called Putin because of small payments
