On the evening of April 7, 2024, at the upper station of the capital’s funicular, a conflict arose between a suspect and a group of young people.
During the incident, the suspect pushed one of the teenagers. He broke the window glass and cut his neck. The teenager died before doctors arrived.
The suspect was found to have 1.2 ppm of alcohol in his blood, said the DBI communications adviser. The suspect in the murder of a teenager at a cable car station in Kyiv does not admit his guilt.
They also denied information that was disseminated on social networks that the man allegedly worked in the DBR. He, according to the adviser, was suspended from performing duties in a law enforcement agency (LEA) and was not on duty at the time of the tragedy.
