The Russian medical system continues to degrade due to the war against Ukraine and mobilization. Therefore, Moscow is forced to look for unqualified doctors in African countries. The British Ministry of Defense announced this on April 8 on the social network X.
As noted in the construction, Moscow’s major resources and financial commitments to support the war are negatively impacting a number of civilian sectors serving the Russian population. Throughout 2024, the number of health workers in Russia continues to decline.
Attracting medical personnel from outside with limited qualification testing creates the potential for the degradation of clinical practice, the department notes.
The British point out that some medical workers have switched to work in the private sector for better conditions and salaries. Other doctors were forced to flee Russia to avoid conscription.
The Center for European Policy Analysis said that to solve this problem, Russia is recruiting staff from Africa. However, these hospitals do not have any evidence of their qualifications.
Let us remind you that the aggressor country Russia is recruiting soldiers after the creation of the Leningrad Military District, because most of the troops are still involved in the war against Ukraine. However, the Kremlin will face a dilemma whether to leave the new units in place or send them to war.
