The aggressor country of Russia has once again endangered a nuclear facility, civilians and the environment throughout Europe. Thus, the explosion of a Russian drone on the territory of the Zaporozhye “atomic” captured by the Russians, Andrei Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the MOU, told Ukrayinska Pravda.
Strikes, in particular simulated ones, on the territory of the Ukrainian nuclear power plant, as well as the deployment of troops and weapons there, mining of Zaporizhia NPP facilities have long been a known and constant criminal practice of the occupiers,” he noted.
The representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate emphasized that the Russian Federation must withdraw its troops from all facilities of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant. For only the liberation of the nuclear power plant from enemy troops will make it possible to resume compliance with all necessary international norms and control over the Zaporizhia NPP.
As you know, Zaporizhia NPP is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. Since the beginning of the Russian occupation, Atomka has already experienced eight complete blackouts and one partial blackout with the launch of emergency diesel generators and security systems. Their failure is fraught with the onset of an emergency situation.
Let us recall that on April 7, the IAEA announced that a drone detonated on the territory of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant. Russian media immediately blamed Ukraine for this after the incident.
