Russian dictator Vladimir Putin signed a decree according to which Moscow-controlled regions must send conscripts (18-30 years old) to assembly points by April 15. In the document, despite the Kremlin’s preliminary promises, there are no exceptions for temporarily occupied territories.

The head of the Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration, Ivan Fedorov, announced this today, April 7, in his Telegram channel.
According to Fedorov, this means that in the temporarily occupied territories:
- all men and boys starting from the ninth grade must register with the military registration and enlistment office;
- Children’s records are formed in schools.
Therefore, I once again urge our people to leave. After all, it is extremely difficult to avoid conscription for military service, as well as any oppression or attention of the occupiers at the TOT,” notes the head of the OVA.
Fedorov recalled that according to international law it is prohibited to mobilize and call up the local population for service.
But what does international law and human life mean for Putin, in principle? “The question is rhetorical,” he concluded.
