Investigators have opened a criminal case under the articles of violation of safety rules during construction work and negligence.
Another break of an embankment dam occurred in the city of Orsk, Orenburg region. Therefore, many more areas fell into the flood zone, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported on Saturday, April 6.
In this regard, the mayor of Orsk Vasily Kozupitsa called on residents of several villages in the city to evacuate immediately.
“Another explosion of the bulk dam took place in Orsk. Areas in the village area of Stroiteley, Nikel, Lesotogovo and Borisoglebskaya Street fell into possible flooding,” he said.
According to the latest data, more than 4.4 thousand residential buildings and plots were flooded in Orsk. 1,121 people were evacuated, including 331 children. There are 510 people in temporary accommodation centers, including 115 children. A regional-level emergency regime is in effect in the Orenburg region

We remind you that on April 5, a protective embankment built in 2010 in Orsk was damaged. This happened due to the rapid rise of the water level in the Ural River.
