Starting in 2024, Kyiv will be given a medium- and long-term aid package worth $2.3 billion. Seoul will also offer $12 million. for the rehabilitation of wounded Ukrainian military personnel due to the NATO trust fund for aid to Ukraine. This was stated by the country’s Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul at a meeting in Brussels with the participation of NATO partners in the Indo-Pacific region, Yonhap reports.
It is noted that one of the topics of this meeting was military cooperation between the aggressor country Russia and the DPRK. A Seoul spokesman said that “Russian support for North Korea affects the security of not only Europe, but also the Korean Peninsula and the Indo-Pacific region.” Cho also stressed that the global order is under threat due to the fact that Moscow is transferring military technology to Pyongyang and supplying refined oil.
Let us recall that on April 3, Finnish President Alexander Stubb announced the allocation of 23 aid packages to Ukraine in the amount of 188 million euros. The Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive air defense systems and artillery ammunition. In total, since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, Helsinki has transferred almost 2 billion euros in military aid to Kyiv.
