In connection with the entry into force of changes to the Law of Ukraine “On Military Duty and Military Service”, citizens who have reached the age of 25 are subject to deregistration of conscripts from the military register and registration of those liable for military service. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on April 5.
It is noted that the TCC will call citizens who are registered with the military and have reached the age of 25 to clarify their registration data. Also, these persons liable for military service will be forced to refuse a medical examination and issue the necessary military registration documents.
Improving the organization of military registration of conscripts is carried out in the context of reforming the system of preparing citizens for military service and readiness to fulfill the constitutional duty to defend the Motherland, the General Staff noted.
Let us recall that on April 2, President Vladimir Zelensky signed a law lowering the conscription age from 27 to 25 years. On the same day, the head of state also signed a law on the creation of an electronic register of military personnel. Thanks to this, the Ministry of Defense will receive data on citizens from 17 to 60 years old, who are contained in various state registers.
