As the department’s press service reported, the defendant turned out to be a contract soldier of one of the combat brigades of the Defense Forces, stationed in the eastern region.
The attacker transmitted the coordinates of firing positions and military fortifications to the Russian special service. First of all, the aggressor was interested in the geolocation of the greatest concentration of personnel and the location of heavy weapons of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including tanks and cannon artillery.
To disguise his subversive activities, “Mole” worked for the FSB through his father, who left for the Russian Federation in August 2023.
To move to Russia, he, like a man with many children, crossed the border in the direction of the European Union, and from there crossed into the aggressor country.
On Russian territory, he established contact with propagandist and former FSB officer Sergei Karnaukhov.
It was to him that the defendant’s father “leaked” intelligence information about the Defense Forces received from his son. Karnaukhov passed this information on to his FSB supervisor.
It was established that the invaders used intelligence information to prepare targeted air attacks on the points of deployment of Ukrainian troops.
During a search at the detainee’s location, a mobile phone was discovered, which he used to record the coordinates and available weapons of the Defense Forces and send “reports” to the FSB.
Security Service investigators informed him of suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 114-2 (unauthorized dissemination of information about the direction, movement of weapons, weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, movement, movement or deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or other military formations formed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The attacker is in custody. He faces up to 12 years in prison.
