The Ombudsman spoke favorably about the actions of TCC representatives in the Poltava region, especially about their appeal to the National Police.
Employees of the territorial recruitment and social support centers (TCC and SP) cannot stop citizens from the streets using physical force. Suspilne reported this on Wednesday, April 3, with reference to the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets.
“They cannot walk the streets and physically stop the citizens of Ukraine with physical force. They cannot. This is nonsense. Who will benefit from this? The army? No. Citizens of Ukraine who are afraid to go out? No, “said the ombudsman.
According to him, an example of the correct behavior of the TCC in conditions where they have a list of people avoiding mobilization is the actions of the center in the Poltava region, where the military contacted the National Police with lists of people who should appear at the TCC, but did not do so.
“And if it is necessary to conduct a so-called raid, this group must include representatives of the National Police. They are the ones checking the documents. After that, they provide information to TCC employees to check whether such The citizen of Ukraine is in the register of those liable for military service or not,” – explained Lubinets.
He added that National Police officers “have the right to detain people, examine documents, make decisions, express certain legal demands.”
The Ombudsman added that he opposes the expansion of the power of the TCC, which was proposed in the first version of the bill on the new mobilization rules.
Earlier it was reported that the head of the Rivne TCC, Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Yarmoshevich, entered into a “love” scandal. A video surfaced online of him kissing some female coworkers.
It was previously reported that in the city of Buchach in the Ternopil region, a man died after several days of stay in the local territorial center for recruitment and social support.
