Construction of the first underground school has been completed in Kharkov. City Mayor Igor Terekhov announced this on April 2 on his page on the social network X.

According to him, the school premises were built to the highest safety standards, have 20 classrooms and are designed to accommodate 900 students in two shifts.
The mayor said enrollment for the next school year is almost complete. And already this school year, 600 children will sit at their desks. The school is currently completing final preparations before classes begin.

Terekhov thanked international partners, construction companies and teachers for bringing this strategically important project to life for Kharkov in the shortest possible time.
The mayor of Kharkov announced the construction of similar schools in other areas of the city to provide all children with equal access to quality and safe education.
