Bachelor’s students aged 18 to 22 who are studying full-time at universities in Ukraine (master’s degrees in medicine, pharmacy or veterinary medicine) will be able to cross the border during martial law.

This is stated in the resolution adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers “On Amendments to the Rules for Crossing the State Border by Citizens of Ukraine,” the government website reported on April 2.
Previously, the proposal to update this opportunity was voiced by students of Mariupol and Sumy State Universities during meetings with the President of Ukraine. After this, the Ministry of Education and Science developed a corresponding resolution.
Male students who:
- are not subject to conscription during mobilization;
- are participants in educational academic mobility (academic mobility is an opportunity for students to temporarily go abroad for study or internship in order to gain new knowledge and experience. For universities, it is also a way to strengthen partnerships with foreign institutions);
- go to study in foreign educational institutions for a period of 1 semester.
To cross the border for the purpose of studying in academic mobility programs, students must have a certificate from higher education of Ukraine on the direction of a participant in the academic mobility program to study at a foreign educational institution indicating:

grounds for cooperation;

duration of the academic semester abroad;

the absence of negative grades and retakes of tests and exams based on the results of the last two semesters (half-years);

confirmation of the level of knowledge of the language of instruction in a foreign educational institution;

a copy of the academic mobility agreement certified by an educational institution of Ukraine; e-ticket of a student verified by means of the “Action” portal;
-
military registration documents with appropriate notes from the district, city TCC and social support.
