Russian Tatarstan was attacked by drones for the first time since the beginning of a full-scale war.

The attack took place around 6:00 on April 2. It was loud in the territory of the special economic zone “Alabuga”, which is located near the city in Elabuga. Two UAVs hit the Elaz-Nefteproduct oil refinery and a dormitory. Local officials say at least five people were injured and buildings were damaged. Russian Telegram channels write about this.
The city of Elabuga is located approximately 1 thousand 200 km from the border with Ukraine.
“Alabuga” is a special economic zone of industrial production type in the Elabuga region of the Republic of Tatarstan. It occupies an area of 3903.5 hectares. In Alabuga, Russia has established production of analogues of Iranian Shahed drones.
Let us recall that on March 25, the Security Service of Ukraine stated that since the beginning of 2024, Ukrainian drones have hit 13 Russian oil refineries. These enterprises are damaged and partially disabled. As a result of the strikes, Russian oil exports fell by a third.
