Greece has prepared a plan to reorganize the Armed Forces in accordance with the 2030 Agenda. This includes, in particular, the acquisition of modern fighters and the strengthening of the navy. This is what Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias said, reports Ekathimerini.
According to him, this program aims to ensure that by 2030 the Greek Air Force will have 200 modern aircraft of the 4.5 and fifth generation, gradually decommissioning the aircraft of the third and fourth generation.
The Greek government plans to acquire two or more full squadrons of F-16, Rafale and F-35 aircraft.
“Our goal is to strengthen our own defense industry and advance the production of modern “power multipliers”. We are working to create a new reality for the Greek armed forces,” the official said.
