President Vladimir Zelensky held a nearly three-hour meeting on the production of drones. He announced this on Telegram on Monday, April 1.
According to the head of state, the military and officials will be present at the “biggest definitive meeting.”
“We updated and detailed production plans for the current year for all types of drones: FPV, bombers, reconnaissance aircraft, as well as long-range drones for special missions. We discussed whether how to ensure the flexibility of our defense industry,” the president wrote.
He noted that the needs of the front are constantly changing, so our manufacturers must respond to them in a timely manner.
Zelensky also said that important decisions were made to simplify the procurement procedure, import supplies, increase the production of projectiles for drones and train operators.
“A project to develop an integrated system for managing electronic warfare equipment to protect our soldiers and equipment from Russian drones. The system is already being tested in several areas. We plan to scale the project in full front,” the head of state added.
Earlier it became known that Ukraine has the ability to double production and produce 2 million drones per year with additional financial support from Western countries and businesses.
