From March 25 to March 29, St. Petersburg courts issued several hundred decisions on the forced expulsion of foreign citizens from Russia.

During this period, the courts received 584 cases of administrative offenses in connection with non-compliance with migration legislation, Meduza reports.
The courts reviewed 515 cases. As a result, the courts decided to send 418 foreigners to the Temporary Detention Center for Foreign Citizens and then expel them from Russia. Another 48 people must pay a fine and leave the Russian Federation on their own.
On March 29, the human rights project “First Department” reported that in St. Petersburg, law enforcement agencies were conducting a large-scale operation “Anti-migrant” to identify and deport foreign citizens who do not have the right to stay in Russia.
One of the lawyers representing the interests of some foreigners said that raids are carried out on dormitories and apartments, and special detention centers are overcrowded. According to him, migrants are expelled en masse from the country by plane from Pulkovo airport.
Deputy Minister of Labor of Tajikistan Shahnoza Nodiri said that the country’s authorities have recorded an outflow of migrants from Russia. She noted that these are “not so much complaints about harassment, but fear of our citizens, panic, many want to leave.” According to her, harassment of Tajik citizens is also recorded “at the everyday level.”
After the terrorist attack in Crocus City Holly, in which citizens of Tajikistan were detained on suspicion, 784 decisions on violation of the rules of entry into Russia by foreign citizens were registered in Moscow from March 25 to 27 alone. The Russian BBC service suggested that the capital could tighten checks on migrants.
