On the night of March 30-31, Ukraine will switch to summer time. At 3:00 on March 31, Kyiv time, the clock hands will need to be moved forward an hour – to 4:00. Typically, smartphones change the hour on their own – automatically, in accordance with the settings.

This coming Sunday will be an hour shorter.
Let us remind you that, according to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated May 13, 1996 “On the procedure for calculating time on the territory of Ukraine,” the country annually switches to summer and winter time, moving the clock hands on the last Sunday of March and October.
Clocks were first adjusted during World War I to save energy by maximizing daylight hours. Modern energy has developed so much that energy-saving lamps help save more than changing the clock.
And recent studies show that changing time leads to sleep disturbances and increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases and other health problems. However, almost 60 countries still change their clocks twice a year, most of them in Europe.
It was planned that the EU countries would change the time for the last time in 2021, but this reform has been postponed for now.
