Developer Barratt David Wilson Homes Cambridgeshire has admitted that the houses need to be demolished and rebuilt due to foundation problems, dailymail reports.
During our inspections, we found that a small number of vacant properties at the Darwin Green development did not meet our high standards, the company said.
The dismantling work lasted eight months and cost the developer £40 million.
In a demolition application to Cambridge City Council, the developers promised that tiles and other materials such as doors, windows, sanitary and kitchen fittings would be retained where possible. And the concrete and brick will be crushed on site and reused.
