A Ukrainian woman is believed to have died in an accident on a double-decker Flixbus in Germany. Two others were injured.
Near Leipzig, Germany, a bus carrying three Ukrainian women was involved in a fatal accident. Four women died in the accident, among which, possibly, a citizen of Ukraine. It was reported by Ukrinform citing the local police.
The accident occurred on the morning of March 27 on Autobahn 9 near Leipzig. A double-decker Flixbus traveling from Berlin to Zurich ran off the road and overturned on its side.
There were 54 people on the bus at the time of the accident, they were citizens of Germany, Ukraine, Bosnia, Syria, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Slovakia, Russia, Peru, Turkey, Iran, Macedonia, USA, New Zealand, Poland, France, Czech Republic, Indonesia, China, Croatia, Canada, India, Switzerland and Italy.
According to law enforcement officials, three Ukrainian citizens were traveling on the bus. One sustained moderate injuries and is in the hospital, the second sustained minor injuries and is at home.
The women who died at the scene of the accident were a 47-year-old Polish woman and a 20-year-old Indonesian woman, as well as a 19-year-old German woman. The other woman who died at the scene of the accident has not been identified. We may be talking about a Ukrainian woman, the police said.
Ukrainian diplomats are in contact with law enforcement agencies and related services. Hospitals do not provide any patient information for data protection reasons.
