The Russian plane took off from the Belbek military airfield and may have been destroyed by its own air defenses.
A Russian military plane was shot down over the temporarily occupied city of Sevastopol. The Crimean Wind Telegram channel reported this on Thursday, March 28.
“In Sevastopol, Russian soldiers shot down their own plane – it took off from the Belbek airfield,” the report said.
A video from the scene has been published. One of the videos shows a plane engulfed in flames and falling rapidly. On the other side, an open parachute can be seen. The pilot was able to take off.
The Su-27 is said to be in question.
In this regard, the so-called “governor” of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozzhaev, confirmed that a military plane crashed into the sea.
“The civilian objects were not damaged. The pilot ejected. He was picked up by rescuers from the Sevastopol rescue service 200 meters from the shore. His life is not in danger,” said the occupier.
We remind you that on March 12, an Il-76 plane crashed in Russia. It flashes in the sky over the Ivanovo region. The plane almost reached the landing strip of Severny Airport and fell. All on board died.
