The head of the French National Assembly, Yael Braun-Pivet, arrived in the capital of Ukraine with a delegation. He wrote it on social networks X on Thursday, March 28
“It was a pleasure to come to Ukraine with Valerie Rabot, Thomas Gasilud and Benjamin Haddad to confirm the support of the National Assembly of the Ukrainian People. Thank you, dear Ruslan Stefanchuk, for the warm welcome!” – he wrote.
In turn, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported on Telegram that Yael Braun-Pivet had already spoken at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.
“The day will come when peaceful Ukraine will restore its territorial integrity. The day will come when martyred cities will be reborn, when payment will come to war criminals, when Ukrainian grains will feed the world. The day will come when Ukraine will not be the front, but the eastern gate of the EU. Today will be the day of your victory. And here you can count on France. Both for protection and for subsequent restoration,” said Brown – Pivet.
Zheleznyak named the main points from the speech of the leader of the French National Assembly. He reported that in 2022-2023, Paris gave Kyiv more than 3.8 billion euros in military aid. In total, he said, all EU aid since the beginning of a full-scale war for Ukraine amounts to 89 billion euros.
