So far, 25 people refused to evacuate in their own vehicles and the evacuation vehicle was not used. These are people aged 60+, mostly 80+.
Before the full invasion of the Russian Federation, 10 thousand people lived in the settlement of Velikopisarevskaya of the Sumy region. At the outbreak of active hostilities in March of this year, approximately half of the residents remained. There are 25 people living in a 5-kilometer zone. The head of the community, Lyudmila Biryukova, announced this on the air in Suspilny.
According to him, the residents of the village refused to evacuate and did not voluntarily leave the territory. And during the escalation, two weeks ago, they refused to evacuate with their own vehicle, and did not use evacuation. These are people aged 60+, mostly 80+.
Local authorities, volunteers and humanitarian missions do not have access to the 5-kilometer border zone.
“I hope everyone has supplies, because we live in a village. Donors have supported us a lot over the past year and a half,” said Biryukova.
There is no electricity in 20 out of 24 settlements in the Velikopisarevskaya settlement. There are no medical facilities in the community. Four settlements located within the 5-kilometer zone were completely destroyed.
We remind you that earlier in the Sumy region the local population left 22 settlements in the border areas, the control over them was transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The enemy is training, destroying the Sumy region: is it possible to “cover” it?
