Coast Guard Rear Admiral Shannon Gilreath believes there is no hope of finding the missing life.

Six workers are missing after a large bridge collapsed in the port of Baltimore (USA) on Tuesday morning, March 26. This was reported by Reuters on Wednesday, March 27.

There is no hope of finding them alive because of the long weather and cold water, said Coast Guard Rear Adm. Shannon Gilreath.

Difficult conditions in the murky, debris-strewn waters led to active search and rescue efforts being suspended 18 hours after the accident, US Coast Guard and Maryland State Police officials said.

Authorities hope to have divers back in the water Wednesday to find the remains of the workers, state police Col. Roland Butler.

As we wrote earlier, in the Ust-Ilimsk district of the Irkutsk region of Russia, a bridge collapsed across the Poliva River.
