Former NSDC Secretary Alexei Danilov will be transferred to another place of work, the head of state said.
The former Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Alexey Danilov will be transferred in a different direction. President Vladimir Zelensky said this in an evening video message on Tuesday, March 26.
“Today we continue to reboot the management system of our state. There are changes in personnel. I thank Alexey Danilov for his work as the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. He has been moved in another direction – more on that later,” said the head of state.
Zelensky also said that the newly appointed Secretary of the NSDC, Alexander Litvinenko, will combine his experience of leading the Foreign Intelligence Service with the tasks facing the National Security Council.
“In general, I expect the strengthening of the strategic capabilities of our state to predict and influence the processes on which the national security of our state depends. The strengthening of Ukraine and the renewal of our state system in all place will continue,” said the president.
Let’s recall that earlier Zelensky signed an order dismissing Danilov from the post of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council and appointing Alexander Litvinenko, head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, to this post. The president also appointed Oleg Ivashchenko as the new head of the SVR.
Danilov said he was not ashamed of his work as the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
