During the search of the residential address of the person involved in the case, a laboratory for the manufacture of explosives was discovered.
The FSB announced the prevention of a terrorist attack on a humanitarian aid reception point in the Samara region, which was allegedly planned by the leadership of the Russian Volunteer Corps. Russian media reported it.
It was noted that a citizen of the Russian Federation, born in 1994, acting on the instructions of his supervisor, removed an improvised explosive device he had made from a pre-equipped cache, “to detonate it in the building of a humanitarian aid receiving point for one of the volunteer organizations.”
“During the arrest of the attacker, a firecracker detonated itself, as a result of which he received injuries incompatible with life. Security officers and civilians were not injured,” said the FSB.
The special service noted that in the period from 2022 to 2024, “the person involved was publicly engaged in destroying the RF Armed Forces,” and in September of last year he “was recruited by the Ukrainian special service through mediation of one of the RDK. Activists, Alexander Kudashev, was born in 1982, giving his permission to organize and carry out sabotage on the territory of the Russian Federation.”
During a search of the residential address of the person involved in the case, a laboratory for the production of explosives, ingredients for their production, as well as another ready-to-use improvised explosive device were discovered.
“Communications with his handler and materials proving the RDK assistant’s involvement in terrorist activities coordinated by the Ukrainian special services were found on his phone,” the FSB said.
A criminal case was opened regarding the preparation of a terrorist act.
Let’s recall that the Russian FSB announced the “detention of seven followers of the Russian Volunteer Corps in Moscow.”
The FSB also reportedly detained a Crimean woman who was allegedly preparing a terrorist attack on the railroad.
