Poland will build a 70-meter tower on the border with Belarus

In addition to building observation towers, Warsaw also plans to install additional cameras and purchase specialized drones.

Polish law enforcement agencies plan to strengthen their border with Belarus by building observation towers about 70 meters high. It was reported by Gazeta Prawna.

A joint meeting of the National Defense Committee and the Governance and Internal Affairs Committee was held in the Polish Sejm, where the issues of illegal border crossing and the methods used by migrants (barrier barriers or swimming in culverts) were discussed. .

The commander of the Border Guard, General Robert Bagan, said the agency planned to take several steps, namely:

  • modernization of the border fence by strengthening barriers,

  • installation of additional cameras and additional lights,

  • construction of observation towers,

  • acquisition of vertical take-off drones.

As we already wrote, the Polish police detained two Ukrainian citizens. One of them is suspected of being involved in the transport of illegal migrants, the other was caught in the transport.
