Ukraine urgently needs improved air defense, including Patriot systems and missiles, capable of repelling any Russian attack, the minister said.
Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba called for an immediate strengthening of Ukraine’s air defense after the morning Russian missile attack on Kyiv. He wrote it on social networks X on Monday, March 25th.
“Children in Kiev ran for cover at 10:30 in the morning when deadly Russian ballistic missiles were fired over the capital by air defense systems. There are no atrocities that Russian bastards will not commit, including an attempted ballistic strike in the heart of a city of many millions,” he wrote.
Kuleba stressed that today’s shelling is a reminder that Ukraine urgently needs improved air defense, including Patriot systems and missiles capable of repelling any Russian attack.
In this regard, President Vladimir Zelensky thanked all the involved services that this morning were eliminating the consequences of the Russian attack on Kyiv.
“We never tire of repeating that Ukraine needs more air defense. It is security for our cities and saves human life. All of us in the world who respect and protect life need to stop the fear that this,” the head of state wrote on Telegram.
We remind you that on the morning of March 25, several explosions took place in Kyiv. The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced the destruction of two ballistic missiles fired by the Russians from the temporarily occupied Crimea.
In the capital, rocket debris was recorded falling in several places. According to the latest data, five victims are known.
