On the night of March 25, a fire occurred at the transformer substation of the Novocherkassk State District Power Plant, which was “promptly extinguished” by the station workers. As a result of the incident, two high-voltage lines were automatically switched off, and two of the nine power units stopped working. The governor of the Rostov region Vasily Golubev reported this on Telegram.
It is noted that the Tikhoretsk and Rostov high-voltage lines with a capacity of 330 kV were disconnected.
According to local public information, before the explosions in the area of the Novocherkassk State District Power Plant, about 20 drones were recorded flying over the region.
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that 11 drones were allegedly destroyed over the region.
Let us recall that on March 23, explosions occurred at an oil refinery in Novokuybyshevsk, Samara Region, specializing in the production of motor fuel. A successful drone attack resulted in a fire in a primary oil refining column.
