Russia, without stopping large-scale military aggression against Ukraine, continues to suffer huge losses, in particular, the Black Sea Fleet has so far lost functional activity, said British Defense Minister Grant Shapps .
So, a British official reacted to today’s defeat by the Ukrainian Defense Forces of two large Russian landing ships Yamal and Azov in occupied Crimea.
“Putin’s continued illegal occupation of Ukraine is causing massive damage to the Russian Black Sea Fleet, which is now operationally inactive,” the head of the British Ministry of Defense said in a publication.
He noted that the Russian fleet had sailed in the Black Sea since 1783, but “now Russia is forced to limit its fleet to the harbor.”
“And even there Putin’s ships are sinking!” – said Shapps.
Earlier today, March 24, the Department of Strategic Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Defense Forces carried out attacks on the targets of the Russian occupiers in Sevastopol. Two landing ships Yamal and Azov were destroyed. The communications center of the Russian occupation forces and several infrastructure facilities of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in temporarily occupied Sevastopol were also hit.
