A dozen pilots trained in the UK and underwent intensive training under the guidance of the Royal Air Force. After this, Ukrainian pilots will move on to the next stage of training in France. The UK Ministry of Defense announced this on the social network X on March 23.
Earlier, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that the training of the first group of Ukrainian pilots on the F-16 in the United States of America should be completed in early summer. And the American media reported that 12 Ukrainian pilots will be ready for combat missions in the F-16 by this summer.
Let us remind you that the New York Times reported that F-16 fighters will not be available for 12 Ukrainian pilots who will be ready for combat flights in the summer of 2024. By the time the pilots arrive in Ukraine, the allies will have handed over six aircraft out of the 45 promised.
