According to innovations, a family going through the process of adopting a child can temporarily take him before making a court decision.
“This is possible on the condition that the family or a person from the potential adoptive parents received a positive response from the local authorities regarding the feasibility of adoption and compliance with the child’s interests, and also filed a application to the court to adopt the child. ,” the message said.
In addition, the validity period of a certificate of completion of a training course on raising orphans and children deprived of parental care has been increased to 24 months.
It is reported that children’s services will now have access to information about children in need of adoption, not only in their locality, but throughout the region, which will allow more children and potential adopters that parents find each other.
Also, obtaining guardianship or guardianship of a child will be easier if one of the spouses is in military service.
“According to the new rules, both spouses must submit a statement of health status, and not just the person taking custody of the child. Now a serviceman can do it within 15 calendar days after back,” the department indicated.
As a result of a large-scale war, boarding-type children’s homes were evacuated to safe places: 94 institutions were transferred within Ukraine, and 196 – abroad.
