The French leader said that people who believe that the aggressor country will stop at the Ukrainian Donbass and Crimea in its aggressive intentions are mistaken. Reuters reports this.
Asked about Kremlin comments that Moscow believes it is at war over Western aid to Ukraine, Macron said it would be a mistake to think Russia plans to stop its aggression in the Donetsk, Luhansk regions and Crimea.
By using this term, we also open up uncertainty about Russia’s military goals,” he added.
Let us recall that on March 22, Vladimir Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that Russia is in a state of war. He noted that the full-scale aggression against Ukraine began as a “special military operation,” but after Western countries began to help Ukraine, for the Kremlin “it has already become a war.” The dictator’s speaker stressed that Russia will continue the war “so that Ukraine’s military potential cannot threaten the security of Russian citizens and its territory.”
