Russian propagandists from the NTV channel, trying to convince that Ukraine was allegedly “involved in the terrorist attack on March 22” that occurred in the Russian Crocus City Hall center near Moscow, published a deepfake of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexei Danilov.

This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation.
To create this fake, they used footage from the telethon on March 16th. They also replaced the guest, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate Kirill Budanov, with a fake video with Alexey Danilov, the report says.
The CPD notes that the quality of this deepfake is very low, its artificiality is evident from the very first second of viewing – in particular, Danilov’s facial expressions and speech do not match at all.
There is nothing to indicate Ukrainian involvement.
