Lithuania announced the transfer of a batch of anti-drone systems to Ukraine. This was announced by the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense on Friday, March 22.
“Lithuania continues to provide ongoing military support to Ukraine. On March 22, the Lithuanian anti-drone system was delivered to Ukraine,” the statement said.
It is indicated that the military aid transferred to Ukraine as part of the national defense system includes a wide range of weapons, ammunition, drones, anti-drones, training of troops, repair of heavy equipment and other assistance provided in accordance with the stated needs of Ukraine.
“Lithuania has already developed a long-term plan to support Ukraine, which includes a military aid package worth 200 million euros for 2024-2026,” recalls the Ministry of Defense.
A day before it became known that Lithuania allocated 35 million euros for the purchase of artillery shells for Ukraine as part of the Czech initiative.
It was also reported that Lithuania will buy Renault D military trucks. Some of them will be transferred to Ukraine.
