A South Korean-flagged chemical tanker capsized off the coast of Japan. This was reported by The Japan Times.
The 870-ton tanker Keoyoung Sun was reportedly anchored off the coast of Mutsure Island, Yamaguchi Prefecture, when on the morning of Wednesday, March 20, the crew reported that the ship had capsized and called for help.
The crew consisted of eight Indonesians, two South Koreans and one Chinese. Six sailors were rescued, and the search continues for five missing people.
It was learned that the tanker was carrying approximately 980 metric tons of acrylic acid.
