The department decided to “make a joke” and widely publicize its “joke” through the pro-Kremlin media. However, the Kremlin did not appreciate the action, after which the information had to be quickly removed.
The Russian Guard decided to “make a joke” by sending a “gift” to French President Emmanuel Macron through the French embassy in Moscow and widely covered the action through the propaganda media. However, something went wrong, and the publications had to be quickly removed from the pro-Kremlin media, reports Astra.
In particular, a representative of the National Guard brought a package with a toy car and a set of soldiers to the Embassy of the French Republic and gave it to one of its employees. After that, the wards of Viktor Zolotov (director of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops) distributed a press release in which they said that this was done “in connection with the hostile rhetoric of the President of France,” and the soldiers symbolizes the National Guard. They also indicated that the letter accompanying the gift said: “We hope that after playing with soldiers and military vehicles, you will finally break free from the Napoleon complex. The fate of his supposedly great army is well known not only for to the French… ”.
Shortly after the pro-Kremlin media reported on the action, the Russian National Guard immediately asked them to remove these messages (information confirmed by Google cache data). In particular, the relevant news was published and deleted by Izvestia, MK, REN TV, Vechernyaya Moskva, etc. Also, a message about the “joke” was published and deleted on the telegram channel of propagandist Vladimir Solovyov.
According to Astra, the uncoordinated “action” has angered Vladimir Putin’s Administration. Then the Russian Guard blamed everything on its official representative Valery Gribakin, who presented the “gift,” calling it his “personal initiative.”
Let’s remember that Macron previously authorized the sending of French troops to Ukraine. In addition, he advised Putin not to throw threats of nuclear weapons.
