The ship, flying the flag of the Marshall Islands, was en route to Singapore from Saudi Arabia, and the Houthis called it the Americans.
Yemen’s Houthis said late on Tuesday, March 19, that they attacked the Greek fuel tanker MADO in the Red Sea, Reuters reports.
It was learned that the MADO was a tanker carrying liquefied petroleum gas.
The Marshall Islands-flagged vessel was also reported to be en route to Singapore from Saudi Arabia, and the Houthis called it American, although the Equasis database indicates the tanker is owned by the Greek company Naftomar Shipping & Trading Co Ltd.
We remind you that the United States recently reported repelling a massive Houthi attack.
