Law enforcement officers detained a 31-year-old resident of the Kiev region, who was carrying psychotropic substances worth more than five million hryvnias. The police of the Lviv region reported this on March 19.
It was established that the attacker works as a “courier” and “warehouseman” for one of the online stores, and is engaged in the transportation, supply and sale of psychotropics on a particularly large scale by establishing “master warehouses” in different cities of Ukraine.
It was found that at the time of the arrest, the woman was carrying two plastic bags with a substance similar to the psychotropic drug amphetamine with a total weight of approximately 10 kilograms, 1,350 tablets similar to the psychotropic substance MDMA, electronic scales and other material evidence of his involvement in illegal activities. All seized items were sent for expert analysis to the Lvov Scientific Research Expert and Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
The value of seized psychotropic substances at black market prices is more than five million hryvnias.
It was also found that the woman monthly supplied about 20 kilograms of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances to different parts of the state, renting apartments for it in different cities of Ukraine.
The defendant was imprisoned. He was informed of the suspicion of illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, transfer or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues). The maximum penalty the suspect faces is imprisonment of up to twelve years with confiscation of property.
