MES: Vocational schools have been identified where they will teach professions for the restoration of Ukraine

The most popular areas are agriculture, catering, industrial and mechanical engineering, construction and motor transport.

In Ukraine, the first 72 institutions of vocational and technical education have been identified, which will receive UAH 500 million of state funds for organizing workshops. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science.

At the end of spring they will begin the large-scale renovation of the classrooms, and in the next academic year everyone will receive an education. The remaining 28 professional technicians are still being selected, whose workshops will be updated with funds from international partners and businesses.

Last year, the Ministry of Education and Science announced the launch of the #100 workshops project, whose goal is to update the workshops of vocational educational institutions that will help students effectively and efficiently study the most needed professions for the country.

The most popular places where the workshops will be held in the 72 vocational schools are:

• agriculture – 14 workshops;

• catering – 10 workshops;

• industry and mechanical engineering – 7 workshops;

• construction and road transport – 6 factories.

Workshops will also be held for profiles such as welding, metalworking, woodworking, etc.

According to the Minister of Education and Science, Oksen Lesovoy, the goal of the project is to create conditions for training specialists, which are critically lacking in today’s labor market, and to give strength to the development of vocational education in general.
