The Moldovan Foreign Ministry informed Russian Ambassador Oleg Vasnetsov of its decision on Tuesday, March 19. “The Moldovan side protested against the presidential elections held by Russia in the Transnistria region contrary to the position of the Moldovan authorities. The diplomat was declared persona non grata,” the minister wrote online.
It was recently reported that Austria has declared two diplomats from the Russian Federation persona non grata. The country’s Foreign Ministry made this decision after material appeared in local media about their involvement with Russian intelligence.
