On Monday, March 18, Graham arrived in Kyiv on a working visit. Unwavering U.S. support is critical to Ukraine’s success in resisting an illegal all-out war with Russia. The Embassy of the United States of America in Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
Lindsey Graham is a Republican representative and senior US senator from South Carolina. This is not the first time he has visited Ukraine since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
Graham is known for his active support of Ukraine. He has repeatedly called for Russia to be recognized as a sponsor of terrorism, even suggesting that the Russian military eliminate dictator Vladimir Putin.
The American senator also noted that elections in Ukraine in 2024 should be held even in conditions of war. In addition, he noted that Donald Trump’s proposal to provide assistance to Ukraine “on credit” will help unblock the US House of Representatives.
Let us recall that on March 8, Finnish Climate Minister Kai Mykkänen visited Kiev to discuss the damage caused by the war to the environment, the energy situation in Ukraine and Finland’s support for the reconstruction of Ukraine and assistance to the Ukrainian energy sector.
