The “Election” in the Russian Federation has been the most manipulated in 30 years – media

The most manipulated “election” in the last 30 years took place in Russia. They are not free or honest, the Austrian publication Die Presse wrote in the material “88 percent for Putin: tens of thousands of Russians opposed the fake election.”

“Exactly 12:00 in Moscow, the third day of the Russian presidential election, which involved no choice. And at the end of the day, the winner will be announced: Vladimir Putin, 87.97% – this is the preliminary data of the Central Election Commission to the head of the Kremlin after counting a quarter of the votes,” – said a journalist from the publication who visited a “polling” site in one of Moscow’s districts.

He said that “these elections are not free or fair” and appear to be “a well-organized legitimation of the current situation.”

The Moscow correspondent for Die Presse also draws attention to “voting” in the Ukrainian territories temporarily occupied by Russia, where no one can check what is happening at the polling stations.

“The pressure is high everywhere. Civil servants are offered bonuses for participating in elections and threatened with losing their jobs if they don’t vote ‘for the right person’. Soldiers, doctors, teachers and ministry workers sometimes go to the polls together. Some have to send a screenshot of their electronic vote to their superiors “Many do this to avoid trouble,” said the article about the atmosphere of the new “election ” said Putin.

At the same time, the journalist said that in Russia itself and abroad, tens of thousands of people gathered at 12.00 at the polling stations as part of the “Noon against Putin” campaign.

“Everyone who lined up at 12 noon outside a red brick building near Ukrainian Boulevard in Moscow also knew that this vote was the most manipulated election in the last 30 years. They knew that the Kremlin did not take into account their grievances and consider them traitors and extremists, yet they come and stand here, as well as in front of other polling stations in the country, to show exactly that: their dissatisfaction with the politics of their country,” the article said.

The Russian opposition’s call to gather in protest at 12:00 was supported in other countries. Specifically, in Berlin, Yulia Navalnaya, the widow of an oppositionist killed in the Russian Federation, joined the line outside the Russian embassy. In the Austrian capital, mostly young people stood in front of the Russian Embassy for hours. The day before, an impromptu memorial to Navalny was erected here, but it was destroyed by unknown people.

As reported, on Sunday evening the Russian Central Election Commission reported that Putin, after processing 24.4% of the ballots, received 87.97% of the votes, and in Moscow, according to the results of electronic voting, 89.1% of the votes.
