Politician Gennady Moskal passed away

A few years ago, the former head of the Transcarpathian State Administration admitted that he had defeated oncology in his life.

After a serious illness, the famous Ukrainian politician Gennady Moskal died at the age of 74. MP Nikolai Knyazhitsky announced this on Facebook on Sunday, March 17.

“Gennady Moskal died after a serious illness. Eternal memory. Condolences to the family. He held many positions in the government, was a true patriot and a talented person,” he wrote.

Knyazhitsky added that during the Revolution of Dignity, it was Gennady Moskal who warned the journalists of the Espresso TV channel about the planned attacks on the new Maidan channel, and then announced the plans of Viktor Yanukovych’s authorities to destroy the patriotic media.

Gennady Moskal was born on December 11, 1950 in the village of Zadubrovka, Zastavnivsky district, Chernivtsi region. Police Lieutenant General, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor, People’s Deputy of Ukraine of VI and VII convocations from the parties Our Ukraine – People’s Self-Defense and VO Batkivshchyna.

From March 5 to July 15, 2015, he was the head of the Lugansk regional military-civil administration.

From July 15, 2015 to June 11, 2019, he served as chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.

Let’s remember that five years ago Gennady Moskal announced that he had defeated cancer. According to him, due to the fight against the disease, two years of life were lost.

And in May 2020, during a live broadcast on one of the TV channels, Gennady Moskal fell ill. The TV show stopped. The politician later said that the incident happened because of drugs.
