Two drones on the morning of March 16 attacked two oil refineries in the Samara region. This was reported by the Russian TG channels.
It was reported that a drone attacked the territory of an oil refinery in Syzran at 6 am local time. The fire started there. Now the fire area is 500 square meters.
The local administration of Syzran confirmed the information about the fire.
“This morning a fire occurred in the territory of the Syzran Oil Refinery. No one was killed. The emergency services are working in the area. The personnel of the business was evacuated. The causes of the fire were established,” said the administration.
Telegram channels also reported that the refinery is owned by Rosneft.
“In Syzran, the local refinery of Rosneft is on fire after a drone attack. Again under attack by AVT-6. This is an installation of two distillation columns – the heart of the plant, where the oil is processed,” the message said.
A second drone attacked the Novokuibyshevsky Oil Refinery. A fire also broke out there, which was extinguished by rescuers.
